What's the deal with the Orlando Airport banning all the vendors from selling gum?

LOL, first i've heard of it. Maybe people are leaving gum under the furniture? Too funny.

That's Disney's policy too and one I think OIA has had since it opened back in 1981 or so.

You will be amazed at the cost and just plain disgust businesses have to do to scrap up chewed gum. (Hint: Many don't use garbage cans to throw away their chewed gum).

Every go to a Six Flags Amusement Park?? See all of those gums pieces stuck to poles, etc...while waiting in line?

Disney and OIA doesn't want that look....and its worked for a very long time.

PS. Next time you are at a restaurant...dare ya to look UNDER your table...you will probably see stuck gum under most tables...even at some pretty nice restaurants.

Congrats! Plan your living arrangements around the commute. Seriously. Not relying on a main highway for travel in rush hour could mean the difference between a 15 minute and a 2 hour 15 minute commute.

Thanks Kruciff, Ill be living out of a Hotel when I have to come to Orlando. Majority of my work will be done traveling around to our plants and luckily that allows me to be based from here in Tulsa.

Jester,

Stay in touch. If you are in town during football season, you're always welcome at my tailgate.

Tix pop up on the UCF Boards usually day before/day of game.

You won't have a problem getting a tix (its Spring Break for students) and probably won't pay more than $5 if you buy one out front of Arena by box office (where those with extras either give away for free or sell them for a few bucks.)

Get there early and enjoy some brews at the Sports bar right next to the Arena (Burger U), which is on the right hand side (looking at front entrance of arena) just down from Borders Bookstore.

Please let us know how everything goes, and your impression of the campus!

Some must see buildings on campus: Athletics Pavilion including the CFE Arena, Jay Bergman Field, IPF, Brighthouse Networks Stadium; The Rec and Wellness Center, All 3 Engineering Buildings, Reflection Pond...

Must do's: 4RIVERS BARBECUE (if you don't do anything else, go here.), Lazy Moon, some of the local bars (Knight Library = College Bar, but there are plenty of other options)

Anyone else care to pitch in?

Also, take pictures if you are so inclined :)

Hope you have fun!

Thanks for the 4 Rivers recommendation. Very good.

No problem! I was looking forward to your opinion. I wanted to know what a Texas / Oklahoman thought of our version of Texas Barbecue. 04-cheers

I wasn't to fond of the bbq sauce, but luckily the meat didn't need any of it.

That's the idea! Let Memphis have their sauce, nothing beats a Texas rub.
