UC Bearcats guard Sean Kilpatrick was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season.

Kilpatrick scored the Bearcats’ last eight points in Sunday’s 50-45 victory over South Florida at Fifth Third Arena. He finished with 18 points to vault past Danny Fortson and Deonta Vaughn into third place on the Bearcats’ career scoring list with 1,891 points.

On Thursday, Kilpatrick scored 28 in UC’s 69-66 victory at Louisville.

For the season, Kilpatrick is averaging a league-leading 19.4 points per game.
