MyBB Envoking the coaching legends is delusional....
I keep seeing certain posters bring up Coach K, Dean Smith, Rupp, John Wooden, Lute Olson, Calhoun, etc, and how they started their coaching careers with losing records, etc.... apparently this is some pseudo-proof that those not on the sunshine wagon are over-reacting.

However the reality is that for every coach who started his career losing then went on to become a Hall of Famer, you have 200 more coaches that started losing and continued to lose, and 300 more that started mediocre and ended mediocre, et al.

With that being said, why invoke the name John Wooden rather than Mike Brey?

Furthermore, WHY did those Hall of Fame coaches loose early? I'm sure Coach K didn't have comparable talent at Army than he has had at Duke.

Basketball was not the game it is today when those guys got started, so if we are willing to live with Josh 15 more years and see what has been accomplished by that time...
