Owls up 10-5 with 14:00 left in 1st half

Owls up 12-7 with 11:25 left. We're playing great defense and with a bit better shooting could be up a lot more.

15-9 Owls at the 8:00 stoppage.

Defense and rebounding are excellent so far. They have nothing easy. Similar formula to how we got the best of Charlotte. We have had some of our usual offensive problems so far, but the Owls do lead.

Drone dunk makes it 17-9, then UTEP gets a 3 point play

19-14 Owls coming up on the 5:00 mark

Miners have hit a few in a row. Cant be too upset, they were long contested 2s.

Did the walking tour of the Don Haskins Center at the half. Cant say I'm too impressed. Its basically Hofheinz with higher ceilings and narrower concourses. Everyone's welcoming attitudes seem to have evaporated since i walked in as well.

I was at the game in El Paso last year and had a similar experience. Hope we can win this time

Hope we manage to sustain it for the second half.

Miners get a 9-0 run, Owls follow with a 7-0 of their own. UTEP will have FTs after the break. Rice has not trailed in the game.

UTEP comes out and scores the first 9, then we come back with the next 7.
