Krysakowski thread. I'm surprised he didn't open up with a huge list of completely ridiculous realigned "conferences".

Man walks on moon. War Between the States ends. Abraham Lincoln assasinated. JFK assasinated. 9/11 occurs, Osama Bin Laden captured & killed.

Aren't we at our best when we divide and then unify much stronger than ever before? Wait, you said FBS didn't you. Sorry....carry on!
Virgil Caine is the name and I served on the Danville train
'Til Stoneman's cavalry came and tore up the tracks again
In the winter of '65, we were hungry, just barely alive
By May the tenth, Richmond had fell
It's a time I remember, oh so well
The night they drove old Dixie down
And the bells were ringing
The night they drove old Dixie down
And the people were singing
They went, "Na,na,na...''
Back with my wife in Tennessee, when one day she called to me
"Virgil, quick, come see, there go the Robert E.Lee"
Now I don't mind choppin' wood, and I don't care if the money's no good
Ya take what ya need and ya leave the rest
But they should never have taken the very best
The night they drove old Dixie down
And the bells were ringing
The night they drove old Dixie down
And all the people were singing
They went, "La, la, la"
Like my father before me, I will work the land
And like my brother above me, who took a rebel stand
He was just eighteen, proud and brave, but a Yankee laid him in his grave
I swear by the mud below my feet
You can't raise a Caine back up when he's in defeat
The night they drove old Dixie down
And the bells were ringing
The night they drove old Dixie down
And all the people were singing
They went, "Na, na, na"
The night they drove old Dixie down
And all the bells were ringing
The night they drove old Dixie down
And the people were singing
They went, "Na, na, na"

Yes, there are, arguably, 63 (minimum) to 75 (maximum) number of schools that truly should be in that highest category -
And its the race to see how deep into the 75 we go that determines re-alignment.
I think the NCAA should hire an impartial consultant and work up the conf division scenerio that rakes in the most money and present it to the conferences -
I have a feeling that things like having WVU in the B12 leave value on the table in lost rivalry games with Pitt and Va Tech.

The problem is the conferences decided a while ago that they were competitors after market share rather than business partners. They don't care about growing the sport or even growing the overall money pie larger, they only care about how much of that money they control. The idea you propose is something that would make sense for business partners who were looking for something mutually beneficial.

Yes. Popular theory says 4x20. The problem is geography. The best candidates for the P12 seem to be in California where they already have 4 schools. The B12 doesn't seem to have any good choices without reaching way beyond their footprint.

Each conference is composed of schools who are business partners looking for something mutually beneficial. The fact that in college sports those groups are conferences rather than something else is an unanticipated consequence of the 1980 Supreme Court decision that ended the NCAA's stranglehold on college football telecasts.
Of course, many people want their school to have different business partners, or to be included in a group that doesn't want them.

He was talking about the P5 conferences working together as business partners. We all know the schools within a respective conference are already working together as such.

Don't disagree with anything you said, which should make it obvious that you missed my point completely.

The P5 conferences are working as business partners. Isn't that what everyone outside the P5 is complaining about?
