So after losing ND a few weeks ago, Tennessee is now dropping them as well. Rumors that Michigan is planning on dumping them as soon as their current contract is up. Does anybody think we'll drop them when we get the chance?

All I care about is that we get decent gear, I really could care less who makes it. I'm sick of getting the short end of the stick from both the school and athletic gear makers.

RE: More schools dropping Adidas, will we follow at some point?
For years I was a Nike guy. To get me to wear anything Adidas would have been out of the question.

Then Under Armor came along and they are personally my favorite brand to wear. Stuff looks good and just fits me better. However, in recent years, I actually think that Adidas has taken huge strides in the look of their apparel. Not just for WMU, but for all of the schools that wear their stuff. I think they look slick.

My guess is that ultimately it will be a bidding thing. These 3 seem to be trying hard to get contracts with whatever programs they can. That said, I'm guessing WMU is quite a ways down the list of desired programs from those that were mentioned above.

I agree with Charm City. As long as it looks good and fits well, I am cool with whoever is our attire supplier.

I believe the contract is up at the end of next year (2015).

I don't mind Adidas, but it is becoming clear that they don't work well with Follett (new owner of the bookstore). I'm hearing all kinds of complaints that they don't like the mark-ups in our bookstore, and that Follett isn't happy with the selection from Adidas.

I think they're both right. The selection and prices in the Bookstore are crap.

Whatever happened to.Reebok? Why don't they make Jerseys? And Under Armour is the way to go.

Reebok is owned by Adidas. That's why you only see reebok in hockey and nothing else, and adidas in everything else.

adidas sucks, always has. It's a Soccer company.

When I see a Football team in adidas I think "third-rate, cheap" (yes including ND and U-M).

Of course I remember that song, but I can't remember who performed it.

I really hope we drop Adidas, their football gear seems cheap and looks mediocre. Get Nike

Is this really what you want? Are the two on the left really "better?"

more important to me, though, is having decent off-field gear. Which we're not getting with adidas.

With the away uniform it's better with the green shoulders but I hate the white shoulders on the home Jersey

Exactly. The selection for us to purchase is terrible and overpriced.

MSU is a bad example. Honestly, I think they have some of the worst uniforms around.

I LOVE teams that wear Under Armor unis. They are always sharp.

But we are talking about gear for the rest of us to wear. While I hate to say it, give me a pull over like PJ wears. Just take RTB off of it for me. But we don't see cool stuff like that anywhere.
