Fellow Bearcat fans
Let's not become the Pittsburgh of the AAC. Even though our current conference is a step back in terms of money and prestige, the current group is a competitive lot. Nothing used to nauseate me more than Pittsburgh fans that believed their sports programs were too good for the Big East, even though we regularly beat them. This is our conference home and IMHO, we should treat our conference mates with respect.

I haven't seen any Bearcat fans being like that at all, in fact Cincy probably has some of the least chest thumping fans on the board.

This thread is uncalled for. There are no Pitt fans tearing down your conference on these boards. Classless thread that should be sent to your smack forum.

Cool. But I'd friggin' love to be Pitt with a get out of jail free card to the ACC. We all would.

Football wise, I wouldn't miss Pitt/Cuse...Basketball, hell yeah.

I posted it on Twitter to a Cincy fan, I'm bummed the AAC isn't what we thought it would be, but having Cincy with UCF soothes it just a little bit. Except when someone mentions Tulsa is with us, then i can't say even Cincy winning the NC for AAC would make me feel better at all.

Reread the post. No one said you insulted the AAC.

RE: Fellow Bearcat fans
I love this thread and agree wholeheartedly. This conference has proven to be competitive for us in football and has been a blast in basketball. Everyone in this conference would love to be with the "big boys" but to tear each other down and constantly criticize the conference like Pitt fans used to do to the Big East does no good. We should be more like Louisville who worked to get out but has shown nothing but respect towards the Big East and AAC for helping them get where they are today.

Go Bearcats! Go American!

Football wise nobody in Pittsburgh cares about the AAC. We love the fact we got to host Fsu In fb and Duke in bb both record crowds. I hope you do enjoy your conference because you're going to be there a long time (forever).03-lmfao

I've been saying this for years. The BE stifled UC from it's potential. The Bearcats have returned to the CUSA domination ways and that was the best Bearcat basketball.

I forgot Pitt was even in our conference at one point. I guess I'd just mark them down as an easy win on the schedule in either sport and move on to the big fish. Don't really care about the minnows myself.

But hey, if there were a sport for waxing poetic about the good ole days back when Tony Dorsett was suiting up because you have nothing but mediocrity to show for the last half dozen decades, Pitt would be National Champs. And what a hilarious sport that would be.

I think Cincy is having a great season and they would be having a great season in any conference.

Yeah . While the old big east was the greatest basketball conference on earth . As UC went 9-9 , 10-8, and 11-7 in league play it was considered a great year because you got beat up every night. We'd be ranked #19 or #20 ish I the country and still only be the 6th best in the league . All the attention and positive pub went to the Syracuse, Villanova, UConn , Georgetown and Louisvilles ahead of you .

Even this year, if the old band was back together, with the year UC is having , they would be third fiddle to Syracuse and Villanova.

Call me crazy and it helps winning but Ive had more fun watching AAC basketball than I did any year in the Big East

We will be relevant in both FB and BB, you will be neither in the long run and you haven't been for quite awhile.

I agree and feel UConn should have the same attitude towards the conference. It's not where we want to be but it's a quality conference where we will have to compete.

Pitt and Cincy has such a huge rivalry potential upside. Pitt is very fortunate to be where they are today and i wish we were with them. I hope sometime we can play again either non conference or not. Our football games were for the most part classics, and the battles on the court brutal...Ala this year in the Jimmy V.
