rocket vision of the game was so disgusted that it froze up at half time,so i didn't have to suffer by watching the second half.it occasionally freezes up during a game and they don't seem to know how to correct it.for this game it didn't matter.

Agree rocket vision was very disappointing. It is never as good as other MAC schools and ESPN3, but it was ridiculous last night.

Rocket vision is crap.

Manually updated time clock every minute or so. C'mon folks. It's 2014, not 1997.

Appears to have 56k bandwidth. Terrible.

Rockets desperately need some shooters. If we make some threes, that game is much closer, even with our lack of intensity. 3-26 is remarkable. I feel bad for the staff because they did recruit a couple of shooters, but one is in a season-long slump (perhaps due at least in part to an injury to her shooting elbow) and the other has been sidelined most of the year with injuries. I know Baker wasn't getting much time prior to her latest injury, but I have a feeling she would have seen some minutes against Akron's zone if she had been healthy.

If the team is to watch any video before the BG game I suggest it be of the Purdue game.

The recruit with the shooting elbow injury didn't shoot any better when she played for the Spanish national team last summer so I am not sure if we can use the injury as an excuse. Regard Baker's potential playing time...given the coach's apparent frustration with a lack of effort, I would guess that anyone willing to play hard would have gotten major minutes against Akron.

Couple of points regarding your post:

1) I think Baker is still on the injured list and has not yet received medical clearance to play

2) Don't know about De Alfredo's summer play but I did find her stats from last season (2012-2013) with her Spanish League team and she shot 33 for 79 from 3-point range for a 41.8% clip for the season.

I also understand that Baker has not been cleared to play. Regarding De Alfredo's U20 3 point stats = 21%. And her overall FG% was eighth best on the team.

I personally agree with you about the injury. I was trying to be generous. If she's out there with the green light to shoot, then presumably the injury's not that much of an issue.

From watching video clips and also this year's play, it seems to me that de Alfredo is more effective shooting off the dribble, even from distance. Unfortunately, her three-point chances in Toledo's offense will mostly come from spotting up, so she needs to be comfortable with catch-and-shoot. She's not the only one struggling, though. Dortch can't hit the side of a barn right now.

You are right. Dola and Inma are both under 20% on 3 point shooting on the year (something like 17% and 18%) and I think Dola has put up the second highest number of 3 pointers. So that really drags down the team average.
