MSNBC Chief Apologizes For Biracial Cherrio Tweet
MSNBC has to be the most incompetent, stupid, hateful media company ever. They just confirm liberals are angry, hateful, mean people.

They've really come under fire for this one.. because of their idiocy involving the Romney family and the Robertsons. And then this asshattery.

And who are the true racists? Yet, again?

I say let them continue to run their mouths. Only serves to illustrate what many have been saying all along.

They did apologize later:

Quote: msnbc @msnbc
Follow

Earlier, this account tweeted an offensive line about the new Cheerios ad. We deeply regret it. It does not reflect the position of msnbc.

Too late... they have proven (yet again) they now consider all conservatives Racist... Or at least have editors and writers who do.

The attached article HAD the following line:

Quote:“The breakfast cereal’s new Super Bowl ad features the same fictional biracial family that sparked a conservative backlash last year.”

Which was false... but they put it in anyway. (which by the way, they NEVER apologized for.. they simply removed the word "conservative").

So as said, any liberals want to defend MSNBC on this one?

What MSNBC doesn't say is that the Cherrio's ad is racist. Some executive somewhere said "get me a black guy, a white woman, and a kid who could like a product of both." In this case, it was a deliberate choice to use race.

So, let me get this straight: a tweet directly from the msnbc twitter account doesn't reflect the views of msnbc? Man liberals sure do go through a lot of mental gymnastics to justify their positions.

Tomorrow the story will be that the account was hacked a la Weiner.

I don't really understand twitter, but people actually follow MSNBC's tweets? No one watches it, but people follow that.

Who's said that? Anywhere? I don't appreciate the stereotyping, especially having mixed race/bi-racial friends, neighbors and even family.

The asshats at msdnc prejudged that "right wingers" wouldn't like the ad, and you're okay with that? Hypocrite?

MSNBC president apologizes to Republican chairman for offensive ‘biracial’ tweet

Damn, MSNBC apologizing again. They must have an apology department set to move at a moment's notice. But they don't have a particular ideology. Whew, glad to know that.

Griffin, who acted hours after party chairman Reince Priebus vowed to keep Republicans off the cable channel, also said he has fired the staffer involved.

"We immediately acknowledged that it was offensive and wrong, apologized, and deleted it," Griffin said in a statement. "I personally apologize to Mr. Priebus and to everyone offended."

MSNBC was pummeled online for attributing a kind of racial animosity to conservatives, done in the guise of commenting on an advertisement.

"Maybe the rightwing will hate it, but everyone else will go awww: the adorable new #Cheerios ad w/ biracial family," the tweet said.

Richard Wolffe, who runs the network’s website, earlier said the tweet was “dumb and offensive,” adding “that’s not who we are at msnbc.” The news channel has deleted the tweet.

Even before the RNC entered the fray, the online protests took a visual turn, with Michelle Malkin, who runs the conservative site Twitchy, putting up such posts as: “Going to put my #MyRightwingBiracialFamily to bed now.” And: “Take notice all the rest of you left-wing race card players. Your smears WILL be crushed.”

The social network was flooded by folks posting pictures of black and white blended families.

Michael Beckman: “I guess #MSNBC will hate my family not just bi-racial & bi-religious [both conservative GOP]”

E. Huneke-Bergquist: “1.) @msnbc, you make me sad 2.) #MyRightwingBiracialFamily, you give me hope. 3.) Love wins.”

Betsygraham: “Hey @msnbc ! Here's #MyRightwingBiracialFamily and we like @cheerios too”

I love it....

In his letter to Griffin, Priebus wrote that “such petty and demeaning attacks have become a pattern” at the network.

“With increasing frequency many of your hosts have personally denigrated and demeaned Americans — especially conservative and Republican Americans — without even attempting to further meaningful political dialogue,” he wrote. “While I personally enjoy appearing on decent shows like ‘Morning Joe’ and ‘Daily Rundown,’ the entire network is poisoned because of this pattern of behavior.”

In a separate statement, Priebus identified specific former and current MSNBC hosts who he said “have had a troubling streak in the last several weeks of making comments that belittle and demean Americans without furthering any thoughtful dialogue.” That list included Alec Baldwin, Martin Bashir, Melissa Harris-Perry, Alex Wagner, and Ronan Farrow.

MSNBC is acting kind of like a cornered snake. The network knows its ratings are crap, etc and lashes out to get a reaction. There's now been to many of these "incidents" for there not to some sort of pattern, or even designed plan to garner at least some notice on behalf of the network. BTW, I'm part of a biracial family and while I don't get bent out of shape due to another person's ignorance, I can see why some people may.

Here's a new one for you, just to add to the fun people are hving at MSNBC's expense now: @MSNBCApology Twitter feed

Get your apologies here before the stories happen now :)

One of their best ones was after the account was first created:

Wanted: New social media editor. Must hold left-wing views and be experienced in groveling and saying sorry.

That's what I'm thinking. No one can be as dumb as the folks at MSNBC without actually trying.

The right wingers in this thread are telling you that they don't like it. That's not prejudice.
