MyBB bball game tomorrow??
With the weather, any thoughts on whether the game will be played tomorrow or be postponed to later in season? UAB is closed again today & with temps being what they're supposed to be I don't see much changing on the roadways

RE: bball game tomorrow??
I saw that the women's game is moved to Thursday so I assumed men's game is on as well.

If you have ten players and a ref, play the game.

Things should start opening on Thursday. Roads are improving today and tomorrow it's going to be in the 40s

Several years ago UAB played a game at the arena when it was iced over and/or snowing.

I was unable to even attempt to get to that game.

I expect that things will be clear enough to get around by tomorrow afternoon. We'll see.

I worked that game. No fans were present. I then spent the night in Bartow Arena.

UAB played a game at Tuscaloosa right after the Superstorm of 1993. I believe the final score was 58-56, in favor of UAB.

Is the Birmingham Airport that bad right now, or were they always planning on flying to Huntsville?

It's been closed on an off (mostly closed) until this afternoon. Runway is open but a ton of flights have been cancelled. Since HSV didn't get snow it was probably an issue of the flight being cancelled.

Guessing that they wanted to get as close to Bham as possible by tonight.

The best way to do that would be to fly into Huntsville.

Tomorrow it should be thawing out, so the trip down to Bham shouldn't be that bad.

It's okay if they are a little tired and stiff from the extra traveling.

If they make to Huntsville tonight or early AM they'll have no issue getting downtown. 65 coming from the north in to town is fine. I'm looking forward to getting out of my house for the game tomorrow!

The team left Norfolk on a charter flight around 2:30-3:00. The flight plan changed to Huntsville. The plan is to bus to B'ham directly from the airport. A tweet ...not sure if it was a joke...says they made it to the city limits and then would have to walk to the arena!

They would be busing in to the Sheraton, which should not be an issue.

Tomorrow heading to the arena should not be an issue.

I was at a game in the early 90's at the Arena when the weather was really bad (snow, ice), very few people in attendance.
