As I said I am old and remember when a man's word meant something. I would bet you are far younger and no longer believe it does. The "kid" involved is 22 years old, a college graduate and as of Thursday one week ago our coaches still believed he was coming. They found out thru other sources and contacted him. I am sure we will never agree on this and as I said originally SMH. As to your "college sports are amazing" I agree and have played and followed them for more than half a century. That said I think they were even more amazing when there when was more honesty, less cheating etc. and some loyalty and fidelity. I know it is everywhere now (and was around back in the day, but less I think) but I wish it wasn't.

I'm with you on this one, ETSU. This is a grown man that gave his word to our coaches and program. Bailing out at the last minute for a better offer is a complete douche move in my book. If the tables were turned and we pulled his scholarship offer at the last minute for a better recruit, he would have been crying about how unjust we were to him. I don't see how this is any different.

Your word should be your bond. Integrity is something that nobody can take away from you. It has to be surrendered. This guy showed his true colors. He's a turd.

Yeah, Halter is a 6'8" 300 lb. All American going to a team with practically zero experience on the O-Line. I don't think the bench is in his future at Florida.

Some good news regarding the 2015 class. It was reported today in the VP that WR Eri'reon Hayes has quailfied under NCAA guidelines and is officially a Monarch. Hayes turned down offers from ECU, App St., and GSU, and looks like he will be a good one for us.

Just saw on 247 that Jelani Carter won't be enrolling until next spring. Cryptic on the reason why, he's just describing it as a "bump in the road".
