Apparently Blaine is in the running to replace Rhodes as Shaka's assistant according to Ramnation. Apparently he has been working with VCU players.

That would shock me. (or is that Shaka me?) BT and Shaka didnt really like each other and they practically insulted each other. Plus their classless fan base made horrible jokes about BTs problem publicly and really seemed to dislike BT on a personal level. I hope the guy gets a job somewhere, but not VCU. It just doesnt seem to be a good fit either way. But I have heard that he has been hanging around VCU a bit. Guess since Darius is there it makes sense. Maybe he figures the best way to get back at ODU for giving him the axe is to help the enemy.

If he is bitter about getting axed due to his own actions, I don't suspect his recovery will be very successful.

Cal coach MIke Montgomery is retiring (Blaine's old mentor) so.....But unless most college AD's have been living under a rock the last couple of years, I don't think he get's a head coaching gig anytime soon unless it's at a low mid major.... but you never know.

So Dad, Mike Montgomery is retiring huh? Wonder if Travis Decurie would be in the running to replace him?I Remember when Blaine said at an ODU breakfast that Travis would be a star in the coaching ranks one day.

Montgomery gave about a 5 minute commercial during his press conference on why Travis should be the new Head Coach. Hoping that it happens for him. I also will not be surprised to see BT land a job this off-season. If not in coaching than I think he will have a future in broadcasting.
