His voting record is Dem-lite... so I'm not shocked to see him use the Dem playbook.

I just hope Grimm stays in office for a while. He is extremely entertaining.

Quote:In 1995, after serving in the Gulf War, Grimm became an FBI agent tasked with Wall Street corruption. Four years later, he got involved in a highly publizcized bar fight, the details of which were recounted in a New Yorker story published in 2011:

On July 10, 1999, Williams said, he was working off duty at Caribbean Tropics [in Queens. N.Y.]. Shortly after midnight, Michael Grimm walked in with a woman of Caribbean descent. The woman’s estranged husband, who is also of Caribbean descent, was at the club and confronted Grimm. The two men began to argue. Williams escorted Grimm away. Williams recalled, “He said to me, ‘Thanks a lot man, he don’t know who he’s ******* with.’ Then he said something frightening. ‘I’ll fuckin’ make him disappear where nobody will find him.’ ” (Grimm calls this allegation “insane.”) After that, Williams said, Grimm and the woman left, as did the husband.

Around 2:30 a.m., there was a commotion on the dance floor. According to Williams, somebody was shouting, “He’s got a gun!” Following a crowd into the club’s garage, Williams discovered that Grimm and the husband had returned, and Grimm was holding a weapon. Grimm was “carrying on like a madman,” Williams said. “He’s screaming, ‘I’m gonna fuckin’ kill him.’ So I said to him, ‘Who are you?’ He put the gun back in his waist and said, ‘I’m a ******* F.B.I. agent, ain’t nobody gonna threaten me.’ ” (Grimm said he only moved his gun from an ankle holster to his waistband.) The bouncer at the front door told Williams that, when he patted Grimm down and found his gun, Grimm had showed his F.B.I. identification. The bouncer then let him pass through the club’s metal detector.

Grimm left the club, but at 4 a.m., just before the club closed, he returned again, according to Williams, this time with another F.B.I. agent and a group of N.Y.P.D. officers. Grimm had told the police that he had been assaulted by the estranged husband and his friends. Williams said that Grimm took command of the scene, and refused to let the remaining patrons and employees leave. “Everybody get up against the ******* wall,” Williams recalled him saying. “The F.B.I. is in control.” Then Grimm, who apparently wanted to find the man with whom he’d had the original altercation, said something that Williams said he’ll never forget: “All the white people get out of here.”

Quote:One month later, The New York Times reported that in 2006 Grimm had invested in a luxury development with a former FBI agent, Carlos Luquis, who at the time was under indictment on state racketeering and fraud charges. Luquis was later convicted "for his role in skimming $2 million from Texans’ electric bills," and served 18 months in prison. “Mr. Grimm’s ties to Mr. Luquis reflect a checkered business background that seems to clash in some ways with his image as a straight-arrow veteran of the Marine Corps and the F.B.I.," the New York Times reported at the time.

Grimm's troubles continue to this day: Earlier this month, the New York Daily News reported evidence of Grimm supporters engaging in “donor swapping." Two weeks ago, Grimm’s reported ex-girlfriend was arrested by the FBI, who charged her with making illegal campaign contributions to Grimm through straw donors.

What is it about NY Politicians? Cuomo tells conservatives to get out... Di Blanco says the same thing. Weiner goes sext happy. Now this one...

I'm thinking we might have to do like "John Carpenter's Escape from NY" and only put a wall around the entire state instead of just Manhattan.

New York corruption is unbelievable and it is bipartisan. There is this one Democrat that decided to run for NYC mayor but he didn't want to run in the crowded Democratic field. He decided to run as a Republican but needed the green light from the Republican party leaders in the boroughs. One took a $15,000 bribe negotiated down to from (I think) $25,000. Another refused to settle for less than $50,000 but he wanted it in installments.

About half of the NY State Assembly is under investigation, convicted, or just barely avoided prosecution.

At least that is what I heard on cable news last night.07-coffee3

Been that way for the leftists for decades.

Ever try to buy land from a politician or his/her family? I confirm this story based on personal experience alone.

Can't find a native for governor? Go to NY like VA did. 03-banghead
