I think kids see ghosts all the time. I can still remember a small kid sitting up in the corner of my room when I was about 3, it would make me laugh and go away when my mom started to get up to see why I wasn't asleep yet, as if it didn't want me getting in trouble. At young ages, you don't know what fear is so ghosts and other supernatural things don't usually scare you.

I used to hear my ex GF's 2 year old playing in the playroom by himself and would be laughing hysterically one second, and saying "NO! Give it back!" the next. Very creepy.
