the new staff said they are going to honor all commitments. if he sends in his letter he gets the scholarship. its possible the coaches may not want him and are taking their time contacting him hoping he will decide to go somewhere else. Its much more likely that they just have not had time to get in touch with everyone yet

Some kids decommitted waiting on the next coach and didn't have a visit set up. In those instances I don't think the new staff considers them commits. I think Eckels was/is one...

Not 100% that he will play baseball this year. Heard through the grapevine that he wants to heal his shoulder completely.

I guess that makes sense for him......go ahead and heal.

I assume that baseball season is worse for your arm as a pitcher than football season is, even for a quarterback.

I think baseball helped out Russell Wilson develop his arm, but I could be wrong.

It could have, but I think the injury risk is higher, especially months removed from surgery. I can't think of a football player that has had Tommy John surgery.

But, I just found data to back me up:

Yeah that looks right. Good research. Hopefully Briscoe will be ready to compete in spring.

ONE week from today we will have some of our QB questions (and other positions as well) answered.

RE: Early QB Depth Chart (guess)
I consider "depth" to be the number of experienced QB's, not just the number of QB's.

We are lacking in depth in regards to QB's that have played here.

We do have some that have gained experience elsewhere though.

When was the last time we had this much uncertainty around the QB position? Or should I ask, when was the last time we had zero QB experience returning?

Izzy and Ellis after Joe. Not exactly zero, but pretty much. Same with Hunt/Williams after Big 4.

Seemed like we have had a great bit of uncertainly the last 2 years.

Was going to say this too. No need to worry people, Clark will make up his mind and develop all of the qbs.

RE: Early QB Depth Chart (guess)
My money is on Pat Thomas. Talking to the old staff they said he would be the starter the minute he walked on campus. That said Clark may not have the same view but from other people I have talked with they say Thomas is the real deal. It remains to be seen. Spring will be very interesting.
