Yeah- bad deal for Memphis.

One- SMU is still the same pretty good team they were- they simply now have this anchor loss on them right before we play them- which will diminish a win by our kids and amplify a loss by our kids.

Two- good teams that lose seem to learn and play harder their next game (or at least our kids have). Our game still the biggest on their home schedule to date so would still expect a good crowd for them, although maybe a little less rowdy.

SMU dropped 8 spots from 42 to 50.

Having the potential for 2 additional top 50 RPI wins would seem to be more advantageous than USF being perhaps 10 RPI points higher, when the range that they land eventually will likely be low to the point of having zero consequence. Even with SMU still technically in the top 50, they will have to fight to keep that level, and may drop into the 51-75 range before the season ends if this kind of result happens again.

We are their Super Bowl still. Just wish Matt D was still there...I'll never forget calipari leaving him hanging in a pregame one time....lol

Really hope we can pull it off, as of right now 13 ranked teams have lost or will lose. We have a chance to soar pretty high if things go right.

Love for it to happen for the gonzaga game.
