Kenon was awesome all year ....Rose was the best college player in the game from the Mich St through the Kansas game, when it mattered. Rose the better NBA player although Kenon had a great career........either could be picked as best.

Lee is my all time favorite but if we voted for the one best season ever, he might not get my vote.

I'd put Kenon and Rose neck and neck....Rose was the best college player in the game heading into March - he finally "figured it out"

I'd also add Sylvester Gray (1 year + a few games)

RE: Top 1 year Tiger
Larry Kenon was dominating. Professional career is not in the opening posters question. It's the "top 1 year tiger player". Both led their teams to a NC game. Both had great seasons. Kenon however led the nation in rebounding at 16.7 RPG to go along with a 20 PPG scoring average. No Tiger has ever had a better season. Not taking anything away from Rose but one would have had to see Kenon play to know the difference. They played different positions in different era's and to compare them is really not a fair judgment of who was the best. In any case everyone is entitled to their opinion FWIW.

Great points. You are right, no Tiger ever had a better year. Ever. Kenon was also an all-star in both the ABA and NBA, if I remember correctly.
Rose being the rookie of the year and league MVP sways it to him, I think.

So, are we voting for the best year a one-year Tiger ever had, or that year plus his pro career?

But isn't the OP referring to the one year a Tiger played here, and NOT to his pro career?

That's certainly how I read it.

If so, then there is no question. Kenon. Not even close.

And IF he IS including pro careers, I STILL say Kenon. As of today. Longevity and solid All-Star. Rose is just beginning, and may have his career hampered by injuries. Definitely not a finished work yet.

Yeah, if that's the criteria, I agree, it would be Kenon. Maybe I need to sharpen the old reading comprehension!

Well, I wasn't sure, either, so I deleted my post you cited here, and asked the question to the OP, lol.

I voted for DROSE because in my opinion he had the greatest year maybe a tiger ever had. He was the best player in the tourney. He was the number 1 pick based on his dominant performance in the tourney. It was not a weak draft either. What else can you ask for?

Larry Kenon = super awesome no doubt.

I got carried away with my comments....we'll go with the one best season as a Tiger. I'll go with Kenon due to his domination all season but Rose's last 4 game tournament stretch was as good as it gets (outside of making one last free throw).
