@AdamSchefter
In addition to Kyle Shanahan on Wednesday, Browns also scheduled to interview Raiders QB coach John Defilippo on Thursday for their OC job.

DeFilippo, if my memory serves, is from Youngstown, not too far from Cleveland.

Kyle SHannahan..now that's a name I was hoping to not hear for a very long time.

New Browns coach, Mike Pettine, is a UVA graduate and was with the Jets. That must be how he knows DeFillippo, who was a quarterbacks coach for the Jets.

I am in the dark here... Seriously. Thought it was Kyle Shanahan's job to lose.

He's a candidate and will be interviewed...I'm not sure who the favorite is. Shanahan is certainly more established. DeFilippo has never been a coordinator. I read an article on the Raiders site, however, that Dennis Allen doesn't want to lose him. They like him.

Compared to Adam Gase

Just mentions interview will happen

My favorite quote from the comment section of above mentioned articles- "College coaches have to be approved of by the boosters who donate the money to the program. It isn't always a fair process."

Couldn't be closer to the truth with what happened at JMU. For better or worse, all alums can thank Mike Battle for Everett Withers.
