RE: Beer in Stadiums and Arenas
At Louisville, you can buy alcohol at any sporting event. Basketball, baseball, football, volleyball, softball, track, etc. But we are a drinking culture. I mean for basketball, every lounge is sponsored by a liquor company (for example the Woodford lounge, the Evan Williams lounge, etc). Hard liquor can be found at most events as well.

I enjoy drinking. I'm a fan of tailgating and bringing in whiskey to football games. I don't drink that much at basketball.....have some beers that's about it.

Ditto inside the CFE Arena for UCF games. But non-UCF events have alcohol sales. The Orlando Predators of the Arena League moved from the Amway Center to UCF's CFE Arena, and you better believe the beer will be flowing.
People are nuts to pay $8 for a beer (which, yeah, I've done on seldom occasions). But, I wouldn't have a problem if they offered beer at both venues during UCF games, and we could certainly use the revenue. But I don't think that will ever change as long as Dr. Hitt is president.

The revenue is overrated. UofL only nets about $1 million per year from alcohol sales. however it does help get people to events they may not otherwise attend, such as Olympic sports and pre-conference BB games.
