We should let Tulane know we've changed our minds.
I don't understand their add..

can someone explain the value of tulane.....

Potential Vanderbilt or Duke. It's not like they've never been good before, either.

Idk, why not find someone who is constantly good rather than hope on potential?

Like who?

Besides, what's the point? We're already on higher footing than the rest of the GO5. Every "good" program we add from here on only brings down the chances of my and your school's chances of going to an access bowl on any given year.

Name someone.

Name another school not in a BCS conf. that has the recruiting foot print that Tulane adds. Name another school that is a destination for other schools to travel too and have a good time before, during and after the game?

In the past ten years Tulane has built a baseball stadium, basketball/volleyball practice facility, redone the basketball arena, building a new on campus football stadium. Tulane has also increased money to the athletic department/coaching staffs.

Tulane will be getting a new president and AD soon as well.

I understand that our past is crappy. But our future is promising.

I think this was a great thread, and I agree.

I spent a year in Texas and never felt welcome, so I have a bias against the state.

I also think it's BS that Houston and SMU got invited to this conference before we did and comparing basketball gyms makes me want to vomit. I know, football, football, football. But there football stadiums are mostly empty too.

The whole thing makes me sick.

Drunk? That might be a believable excuse if you didn't troll daily here. More like continued idiot posting in general.

"i get one or two every ten years or so" ... You make a post almost daily that is so stupid it decreases the overall IQ of the board.

At least trolls like Miko throw in humor. Something for you to strive for perhaps.

Why's that? I mean, without question Tulane is a fine academic institution...best in the state, even. But the AAC is an ATHLETIC conference, right?

I know all this is subjective and kicking Houston and SMU out are completely hypothetical...AIN'T HAPPENIN'...but why is Tulane hands-down a better selection in your opinion than at least 2 of the other 3?

The fact that for the most part SMU and Houston fans didn't react shows how little we care about Memphis fans think. Nice try though…well actually, it was a pretty lame try but whatever.
