Best Win of Year So Far. Stephen F Austin?
I noticed that Stephen F Austin hasn't lost since we beat them at home on Nov 23.

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketba...umberjacks

They are also rank 7th in the college insider Mid Major top 25.

I'm not so sure where the Southland ranks in terms of conference power rankings, nonetheless still a good win for us.

They are probably the best win we have had in a relatively long time.

I didn't realize at the time, but that was a huge win.

Probably our best win since we beat Charlotte in Charlotte back in 2011, maybe even back to Mississippi State or Dayton on the road the year before.

That win took me completely by surprise, but it was probably because SFA kept jacking up threes and missing terribly.

SFA is a really good team. I don't go to every game (watch most on ASun.TV) but that is as good of a team as I have seen in person in a while. ETSU's intensity that day was off the charts. SFA never matched it.

SFA is now 22-2. They are just destroying people.

Top 25 Poll

According to voters this week, SFA would come in around #33 in the nation in the polls, receiving 3 votes in the top 25.

The most recent AP poll has Stephen F Austin at 27. Pretty crazy ETSU is one of only two teams to hand them a loss.

Pretty crazy you can be 29-2 and not be ranked.

Not really since there Strength of Schedule is 333 out of 349. (ESPN)
29-2 is great but they really haven't played anyone.

They have 3 wins in the teams RPI range 100-150 (two against the same team Sam Houston State)

I could see them missing the NCAA if they don't win their tournament.

on the selection show they picked them to beat VCU and make it to the Sweet 16. I don't see it. I think VCU handles them double digits, wouldn't be surprised 20+. Guess we will see.

I agree Rod. I'd love to see them beat VCU but I don't see it happening.

I look forward to the day when ETSU schedules power house NCAA tournament teams so they will have a better seed in the NCAA tournament. Now it's a dream to just make the NCAA tournament. I hope you are recruiting Murry.

I don't see it either. I kind of hope VCU smacks them around. I think the 03-04 Bucs would've smacked this this SFU team around.

I am picking them just to have a 12/5 upset. I don't think SFA has enough team speed to beat VCU. Although VCU this year is not nearly as good as last year's team in my opinion.

I agree, i really don't see SFA being able to handle the 40 minutes of havoc pressure. Of the 12/5 matchups I feel like the (5)Saint Louis vs (12)NC State/Xavier will be the most likely. Heck I think id even give (12)North Dakota St over (5)Oklahoma a better chance than SFA over VCU

Then I hope you are a young man, because that won't happen for a long, long time. We would probably need to get to the American to start thinking about ETSU as an at-large team in the Big Dance, and that's 20 years away at absolute minimum.

The atlantic-10 is way more realistic and could happen in the next 6-8 years depending on success. The A-10 has 6 at-large teams in the tourney this year.
