RE: The AAC food tour....
I will put Oklahoman BBQ above Texas. We are the perfect blend between KC BBQ and Texas BBQ and we just do it better. Do not and I repeat do not ever buy a Philly Cheese Steak in Tulsa. Not one place comes even close to doing it right. Now something Oklahoma does right besides BBQ is Hamburgers. Tulsa was on the food network a couple times now for having the best burgers. The Tulsa burger is known for grilling the onions right into the meat and use only mustard as a condiment. Hank's Hamburgers, Harden's Hamburgers, Bill's Hamburgers, Brownie's Hamburgers, Claud's, and finally Fat Guys Burgers are all amazing joints.

Texas BBQ is not that bad as long as you have some Oklahoma BBQ sauce to put on it.

There used to be a restaurant in downtown Cincinnati that held the record for the longest running (over forty years) Mobil five star rating streak in the country.

I believe it was named the Maisonette. I think it closed about 10 years ago. I had the opportunity to eat there a few years before it closed and it was one of the best meals that I've ever had in my life.

It's true that Maryland brings in much of its seafood from outside the state, but that does nothing to dispel the gospel that is MD crabcakes. It is what you do with the crab that counts.

I am from North Carolina, and no where I have found in my home state compares, when it comes to crab cakes. Even Spouter inn in Beaufort, which serves a delicious cake does not compare.

Fried shrimp, BBQ etc I crave from NC - but a true md crab cake is something else. If you're coming in for a Navy game, go here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/edgewater-restaurant-edgewater

My aunt is a caterer on the coast of NC and when the local seafood guy has the "good stuff" he calls her. Recently it was Blue Crab and said it was some of the best they had in awhile. The guy said they had been catching a lot lately and the bulk of it gets sent to Maryland. Point being, a lot of those Maryland Crab Cakes, are North Carolina crabs.

Maryland/Baltimore has been importing seafood for years. The Chesapeake Bay has been producing dismal numbers of shellfish for a long time.
