If you want to watch the game.

KJ Lawson has a very smooth jumper. Can score from all over the court, just needs to get some strength on his body and he has the ability to be a great wing scorer for us.

Dedric Lawson can get to the basket almost every time he has the ball. Has GREAT ball-handling skills for his size in the fastbreak. and has great upside.

Kind of my analysis of them 2. They will be great Memphis Tigers.

I would add that neither is explosive or very creative but both seem to possess high basketball iq's.

The announcers comments on the surrounding cast being weak was spot on. They really have to do a ton for their team.

Florida got a good one in Chris. He is undersized but sees the floor really well. Wish we had gotten him.

So do I. You always need a guard who can see the floor well to set people up for easy shots.

I'm pretty sure we came on late since he was a late bloomer. Also we have Dominic and Pookie can play PG so maybe he wanted to go to place with more mins since Scottie is a SR.

what little I saw on the replay of nych wasn't impressive. forcing shots unnecessarily and too small.

I agree with this. Neither one of them looked like "super" athletes. They also appeared a little out of control and were trying to do more than their positions should require, but again, as mentioned by everyone else--it's like they had to because nobody else on that squad was very good. When one team can play five defenders against two offensive players, it can make them look a little out of control. If they had adequate teammates at the point, two, and center, they would be incredible 3's and 4's. They already are, but too much on their shoulders.

it was alot closer than i thought it would be since it was basically a 2 on 5 kinda game. Hamilton really needs some other players to step up

Not sure how good Chris will be at Florida....just seems too small. He doesn't look to have a great shot and I can see him being a liability on defense. I might be bad wrong but I think the Tigers will be better served with someone else....now Black?...that's a big miss. Looks like he's got a great motor and very talented.....KJ and Dedric are going to be great too...with a little more maturing, good players around them and being coached up in a system, they are going to make a big impact.

I would love to see the Lawson boys with a giant milkshake in their hands every time they head to and from the weight room. These guys do have that must ability to put the ball in the hoop. That alone makes me really look forward to seeing them in Tiger uniforms.

Nych is loved by our staff but I honestly don't get the hype. He looks like a poor defensive player who forces to much on the offensive end. That said, our staff is great at talent evaluation so I would guess I'm horribly wrong.

Chris will be fine at Florida. He spends the summer working on his jumper and he will get plenty of minutes. His handles and vision will make up for lack of size on offense. His coach will make up his lack of size on the defensive end.

Final thought- defense on the high school level has gotten really bad or perhaps the variance in talent is greater than it used to be. It seems like most kids are out there to get theirs more than getting the team in a position to win. This shows up the most on the defensive end where it looks like the kids are taking a break to save energy for the fun end.

Funny thinking that a million years ago, I used to drink milkshakes so I could gain weight.

Has Black committed to Illinois? Seems someone during the game said he was headed that way. He looked like a stud. Was impressed with the Lawson brothers. Glad the older one is staying home. How did the Tigers miss out on Black?
