What did they teach Dixon at Missouri?
Is it ok for members of the media to just broadcast on social media what someone else says, but it's not an "on the record" quote? I'm sure Coach Pastner doesn't want to cause any unwarranted animosity with another school/coaching staff.

Opinions?

Jason Smith tweeted this during the game last night. Coach Pastner said this to the guys on the bench. I'm sure it was only meant to be heard by the players. I guess if it's public, it's public.

So Pastner was riding Dixon about having zero rebounds....and asked what they taught him at Missou...Tongue in cheek I'm sure trying to motivate.

I like Larry Finch's line ... a dead man can get one rebound.

I'm not really concerned by our guards rebounding. If the team cuts down on some turnovers and unnecessary shot selection they would put some teams away easier. Conditioning for a few like Nichols as an example is a little concerning. And the easy layups and back door cuts we've allowed are a bigger issue on defense. Guards rebounding always help but if we can't get back on D then it's a win/lose situation.

We would be a mid level team if our guards didn't rebound so well

Don't look now but Dixon is slowly turning into the best shooter we've got...when he doesn't force the 3, he's looking pretty darn good...

I think that was after a zero rebound performance by Todd Mundt, can't remember who we were playing.

He's the only guy consistently hitting from 3. He also drives to the basket. He can drive you crazy with his shot selection, but he brings it.

Good thing is our guards have finally learned to go over the screen instead of under.

Bad thing is if the screen is good enough you will sometimes lose your man and it’s even worse with the new rules.

Dixon plays hard and he is getting better at both ends as the season progresses.

that all said, no reason for josh to believe he can't improve with rebounding

I like the way he sprints back on defense, as opposed to jogging back the way ......

I presume Josh is making a point of our lolly gagging after we score. Houston [and others] sure took advantage of it.

Not concerned? We are playing 4 guards and they better grab some rebounds. If not, it is our one big trying to out rebound their five.
