UAB at Tulsa
Hey UAB fans? How do you guys think tomorrow's game plays out? Anyone that took it to N Carolina I'm pretty wary of.

UAB at Tulsa
I said this about the MT and Tulsa game, so I'll just repeat it.

Tulsa is going to be very hard to beat at home.

Tulsa is better than their record indicates. I knew that before the game, but the game confirms it. These Tulsa games have always made me nervous, so I'm glad for a win by any margin.

Congrats Blazers. Tulsa had to if it's weaknesses surface at the same time, rebounding and free throw shooting. It's tough to win if you can't rebound or hit free throws. UAB is pretty darn good inside.

Assuming they don't meet in the CUSA tournament, as CUSA foes, UAB won the series 7-4. UAB leads the series overall 9-7

Some really good games with Tulsa over the years.

RE: UAB at Tulsa
No offense, but I really dislike the players on this UAB team... I forgot how much I hated Swing, and Rucker last year. Add Frazier to that this year... The game was the worst officiated home game I've seen in the last 5 years of basketball at the Reynolds.

Technical for Hanging on the rim on a fastbreak when there's a player running into you from behind? Seriously? Rucker and Washington should have fouled out with 6 left to play for all of the over the backs they do. Add that to Rucker's strategy to squat on your heels and lunge into our players knees on every offensive 1&1 and he should have barely played in the second half.

When you look up sour grapes, this is the example they use in the dictionary.

Maybe you would not have gotten the technical, if your coach hadn't pissed the ref off jawing at him the entire game.

Wow. You do realize there were like 10 team fouls called on UAB with like 8-9 minutes left in the game right? Tulsa didn't get to their 7th team foul until about 4 minutes left in the game.

Just like any game, there are certain plays here or there that either were called fouls or weren't called fouls that you can question. The game was won based on 2 things in my mind: 1) poor FT shooting by Tulsa (guess what, that's not UAB or the ref's fault), and 2) great rebounding by UAB (many of which were uncontested rebounds)

And why do you hate Swing? He did nothing to you today. Literally. Nothing.

Dude. You were in the double bonus the last 12 minutes of the game.

Cry me a river.

RE: UAB at Tulsa
All of the UAB fans can say whatever they'd like about my comments, they won after all. But...

In regards to swing... he was okay today, but was a real piece of work last year... Rucker plays dirty (like I said about shoving into people's legs on free throws...) that's one of the reasons he gets so many offensive rebounds, the other is all of the bigs go over the back on almost every possession. They didn't secure one free rebound the entire game. I was sitting court side and saw everything. We got called for about 4 fouls on rebounds while UAB got away with a ton of them (called for maybe 2-3)... I just think the referee's really let the game go on one end and not the other.

Finally Frazier was a head case... he could have been called for a technical just as our player was for taunting because he was doing it as well. Very talented player, just not a very sportsmanlike guy. Giving respect to teams that haven't earned it. When we played MTSU the other day I made sure and congratulated one of their players on his great play and good attitude. Not what I saw from the UAB players today. (Fans that were there were polite though...)
