In regards to swing... he was okay today, but was a real piece of work last year... Rucker plays dirty (like I said about shoving into people's legs on free throws...) that's one of the reasons he gets so many offensive rebounds, the other is all of the bigs go over the back on almost every possession. They didn't secure one free rebound the entire game. I was sitting court side and saw everything. We got called for about 4 fouls on rebounds while UAB got away with a ton of them (called for maybe 2-3)... I just think the referee's really let the game go on one end and not the other.

Finally Frazier was a head case... he could have been called for a technical just as our player was for taunting because he was doing it as well. Very talented player, just not a very sportsmanlike guy. Giving respect to teams that haven't earned it. When we played MTSU the other day I made sure and congratulated one of their players on his great play and good attitude. Not what I saw from the UAB players today. (Fans that were there were polite though...)

Once UAB took away Tulsa's ability to drive and get layups, we looked confused and frustrated. This team still doesn't have the focus to hit outside shots consistently. Didn't see TU even try to shoot from mid range. Coaches need to cultivate in the players the ability to be more flexible. Still its a young team and they are learning slowly.

a much better attitudinal outlook.....like being a parent, there is beauty in youth that yields satisfaction through guidance and patience....tears of joy with open arms...

Tulsa does not give up wins on their floor easily. Big win for UAB.
Great games through the years in CUSA. We had our bubble burst a couple of times by Jordan.
I think Danny Manning will be a great coach for you going forward. He was fun to watch when he played. Good luck for balance of season and in future in new conf.

RE: UAB at Tulsa
When Wojcik was fired he might as well have salted the ground behind him. He virtually only on left a couple of players capable of playing D-I on the shelf. The best either transferred or like our biggs were to injured to even play. Manning really will have to take 3 or 4 years to bootstrap this program from almost nothing. Heck you can see this from TU getting like 90% of its scoring from sophomores and freshmen. It is what it is there are no short cuts.
