Hawaii to the Big 12. All Big12 Basketball season play is done in Hawaii, NBA Tournament style Best of 5 then best of 3 play off Championship the entire month of January ending in Late February. Entire Big 12 season takes place in various venues throughout the Hawaiian islands. Big 12 says this is the Only addition that brings excitement to all school Administrators , Athletic Directors, Coaches, Wealthy Boosters and Network Broadcasting executives. Takes place starting the 2014-2015 Basketball Season. Administrators and Athletic Directors and Wealthy Boosters are currently staking out Temporary Housing for the players and visiting fans.

Yep. When there are worthy candidates who improve our footprint, increase our revenue and bring some things we lost with Nebraska, we might expand.

I guess its safe to say that this wild round of realignment that started in 2009 with the big ten announcing they were expanding, is over. It happened in 3 stages, causing chain reactions each time.

First stage Nebraska-Colorado.
second stage A&M - Missouri
third stage - Notre Dame-Maryland

The amount of pieces that moved on the chess board from 2011-2014 was remarkable leaving conferences unrecognized. The WAC AND Big East football are gone. The conference names are still around surviving with non-football teams, but they will never be the same again.

Its time for the big 12 to stop playing this game.

There is a reason The Realignment Board was born on The Big East board. Games and results became almost secondary to discussions of how the conference should or shouldn't invite. Until The Big 12 actually has 12 teams, expansion discussion will be alive and well.

you forgot to add "or when more teams bail on you"....that could happen as well. You have already lost Colorado, Nebraska, A&M, and Mizzou. There is a little hole in the bottom of your ship but most of you are failing to look down and see it. What teams have left the B1G, SEC, and Pac during the same time? None. Get a clue dude.

And Texas has inquire about joining the ACC under the Notre Dame format.

As long as no one leaves the B12, I think they are set for at least a couple of years. Until they get near renewal time there is no reason to do anything. If they are going to add it makes sense to do it 1 to 3 years before TV is due to be renewed. You bring the in at 1/2 rate and champ game will pay for 2 new schools. You likely can crack open early negotiations with new schools on board without any risk of losing $$.
