I'm just glad they are choosing UAB.......proper S&C/nutrition/coaching can transform a players ability. I'd say give these guys a chance, we may end up pleasantly surprised.

FYI
Pete Roussel ‏@coachingsearch
Per source, UAB has offered the running backs job to Auburn dir. of player personnel Casey Woods.

UAB: Per source, UAB head coach Bill Clark has offered the running backs job to Auburn director of player personnel Casey Woods. A source tells CoachingSearch that Gus Malzahn is trying to retain Woods. It Woods takes the job, he would be the fourth Auburn staffer to leave this offseason.

Drew Champlin ‏@DrewChamplin
Georgia wr Luke Lewallen said he changed his commitment to Georgia Southern. Was committed to UAB.

Was he a commit to McGee or one of Clark's late offers?

D1 prospects
LOL
Didn't Texas Tech just light up most teams with a walkon QB who no one recruited?

McGee commit. Talked to someone who figured that quite a few of mcgee commits were being offered gray shirts and that's why they're flipping commitments. I'd take the McGee commits over the last few commits. Of course, we are trading over stocked on offensive commits for defensive commits.

As is said often, "Hope springs eternal in the human breast". If a parent can pay the freight, the kid can take his chances by "walking on" at a BCS-type school rather than take a lesser school's offer of a free ride. We have seen this happen before with kids walking on at AU or UA rather than UAB, Troy, USA or Jax State. Nothing new here.

Bessemer City WR/kick returner Brandon Byner has committed to UAB. This kid is MUCH better than most people realize.
