It's all good. Hate to see the regular season go to waste and a championship isn't brought home. Have to remember you guys moved from the greatest conference of all time who defeated everyone yet failed when it really counts; aside from UConn carrying the banner a couple of times. Funny how you guys seem to forget who you had to get past to get those titles and what conference you surpassed for a couple of years. That's right it was your new conference, the ACC.

All we hear is the old Big East placed 11 teams in the tourney and UConn was the 9th best team and won a title. But none of you guys seem to remember that for all of that bravado, the hardware is extremely light. If it wasn't for UConn, the Big East wouldn't have squat and for two of the titles they had to beat ACC teams. Aside from the Cuse title in the new millennium and UConn just recently, all you guys have is this "best conference ever crap". USF, Providence, Seton Hall, Rutgers, DePaul looks like 5 easy victories to me.
Enough of the talk, you are not in the Big East anymore. We walk the walk without the talk; just reference the national championships the ACC has own since forever and compare to the Big East, the supposed best bball conference ever. Just a hint I believe we have 5 since '00. Cuse and their fans just need to bring it home to the ACC. Anything else is just talk.

The BE was indeed the best conference. Being the best conference doesn't always mean that you have the best team. The Acc has had 5 titles since 2000? Well the BE has produced 4. But you can see where the best basketball conference talk comes into play when you compare NCAA Tourney credits. I don't think you want to compare those. Same goes for Final Fours and revenue generated from NCAA Tourney credits.

Sure, we can talk credits, etc. The old Big East was comprised of 28 teams and I am sure, the volume helped in getting teams to the tourney. It is no different than what the ACC just experienced in football. As a conference, we placed the most teams in bowls but that hardly translate into being the best conference in that sport. You can also look at media hype. Although the SEC has dominated college football, this year was hardly a great year for the conference and yet, media hype kept teams from the SEC in the top 25. Now throw in the fact that when conference play begins, you have rank teams beat up on rank teams. This create a false perception that is perpetuated again and again until their teams are beaten by non conference teams in bowls. And in the case of the old Big East, that is exactly what happened. There is no doubt that the old Big East was A great conference; however, it did not produce champions like say the SEC football teams. All that matters is the title, counting all that other stuff really just shows a conference with a very large mouth that didn't produce like it should have. Tourney credits are just like the NBA lottery, the team with the most entries have the best chance to win and in this case, it was tourney credits. Talk to me about championships.

RE: Sorry ACC (Only for Hoops Fans)
Additionally, for a Cuse fan to title a post like the ACC doesn't know basketball is ludicrous. Especially when you consider the fact that the ACC has always been the best bball conference in the land, aside from the 2 to 3 recent years the Big East stepped in. Prior to the addition of Cuse and U of L, the ACC contained 3 of the top 25 programs of all time and 2 of the top 6 programs of all time, it is just crazy to talk ish when your program have a ways to go to even sniff what those programs have done and continue to do. But hay, I understand the excitement. Just bring home the title and back the words up with action

The title was a calling for the ACC Hoops fans...it was coming at the end of FB season when a few FB only ACC fans were constantly bashing programs they felt beneath them (i.e. the so called parasites)

You took the thread in whole different direction than intended. BTW, Indy welcome to the board...I'll give you a pass for you don't know all our posting history yet...but be assured Cuse fans are ecstatic to be in the ACC...but also very proud of our past accomplishments. Cuse fans will not back down to any other fanbase in Hoops.

Are we really gonna go down that road? nearly half the conference has BE roots. It is time to drop this talking point because it is entirely opinion, will only lead to bickering, and will get us nowhere.
