The Tigers are ready to jump!!! Think hard, what has these two schools given the SEC except bad headlines. They are one of the reason the SEC is called Simply Everybody Cheating. You would think Arkansas would be a great fit for the Big XII with all of their problems and if the ACC didn't want Carolina, what asset could they be.

Yeah, the SEC would be real smart to dump Arkansas or USC. for Memphis. ROFL!

mnk, I applaud your enthusiasm for your school, but you've got to be smoking some serious crack. For starters, Arkansas has more national titles than any SEC school. Don't believe me? Go to http://www.ncaachampionships.com and find out. Memphis has ZERO. South Carolina has tasted national title glory themselves as well. In fact, didn't South Carolina reach the CWS twice in a row? Where was Memphis those years?

As for problems, what problems? The so-called huge scandal in football resulted in a loss of 6 scholarships over 3 years. Boo friggin hoo. That's nothing compared to what Alabama got, or what Miss. State is likely to get (Sherill cheated at every school he coached). The scandal of Fulmer blabbing to the NCAA is bigger than anything Arkansas has done. As for South Carolina, what scandals have they had?

The Liberty Bowl is a dump. Period. No offense to Memphis natives, but it's fact. It also seats about 10,000 less than our stadium in Fayetteville. Both Arkansas and USC, with larger stadiums, can do one other thing Memphis can't....sell their stadium out. We also have top notch facilities in just about every sport, including the newly expanded Baum Stadium (cap. 8,300) and the Randal Tyson Track Center, site of this year's NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. And by the way, who's ranked #1 coming into the title meet? Big surprise, it's Arkansas.

Calipari is big name? He took UMass on one glory ride, which later led to cheating so rampant that UMass's trip is noted in the NCAA history books as "Vacated". That's not someone I'd be bragging about.

Arkansas was picked over Memphis by the SEC because Arkansas generates a HELLUVA lot more money than Memphis. Fayetteville is the fastest growing metro area in the US, and with the world's largest company sitting in the metro area, hundreds of big-name companies are putting offices in Fayetteville. The SEC knows that Arkansas is one of the LAST schools they can afford to get rid of. The corporate sponsorships, huge donations, and money generated (along with national title sites and titles) is too much to pass up. Memphis can't come close.

Think again mnk before saying we're the bad apples. You picked 2 schools who aren't even close to being the bottom rung of the SEC.

let's put it this way YOU ARE NOT IN THE SOUTHEAST!!! I know only Vanderbilt students knew that but you are not.
Fayetteville vs Memphis...................Please

The last two in would have to be one of the ones out. I would rather have Carolina out since the Hogs still owe us a game.

Calipari - High profile....not John Wooden. Of course, Arkansas can always be proud of Nolan.

I'm just dreaming...UTK and Ole Miss would never let us in. 03-cool

Please let us in....please please..we're ready to do anything to be in the SEC.....you two guys from Memphis and Houston need to figure out what most of your fellow fans have figured....allegiance is important and you guys have none. Why dont you try to better the conference you're in instead of hoping so bad to be part of one that doesnt want you anyway.....GEEZ! I've posted a link to this and others from your respective schools think you guys are on crack talking about a move...face reality and quit living in a dream world!

I just enjoy playing with the AR-kansas people. They so much want to be accepted in the SEC but never will. They will always be outsiders

No offense, but trading in Arkansas and USC in exchange for Memphis State and Houston would be like trading in a BMW and an Audi for a Yugo and a Pacer. Sorry, but I think we'll keep 'em.

10MAN from Ole Miss

Did you see those pre-season football rankings?

Who is the BMW and who is the yugo?

TIGERS #14 and I kept looking for Ole Miss but they were not there......maybe they were out finding another mascot. Lets see 44-34 football, whipped you in basketball, pom pon girls much better looking, NCAA bound, a basketball arena that the town of Oxford could fit in.............Why would you want us?

September 4, 2004.............................it will be here before you know it. 05-nono

No, sorry I didn't see it. I tend to take more stock in how the polls FINISH, not start. Where did you guys finish?

Quote:Lets see 44-34 football

I've got some numbers, too, that you may find interesting....42-9-2.

Quote:Why would you want us?

That's a great question. I can't think of any reasons, either.

Quote:September 4, 2004.............................it will be here before you know it.

Trust me, we know. Everyone within a hundred mile radius of Oxford has that date circled. We cannot afford another embarrassment by Memphis State two years in a row. And yes, that was truly an embarrassment.

04-bow to Bama but overall CUSA had a better % in post-season than SEC. Still the ? is there? What does Arkansas and South Carolina give the SEC - ARK = Big 12 (much better fit) USC = ACC but even they don't want them. Keep the hogs but let the gamecocks go!!!
