RB Venric Mark granted 5th year
By Brian Bennett | ESPN.com
http://espn.go.com/chicago/college-footb...ligibility
Northwestern running back/returner Venric Mark has been granted a fifth year of eligibility after missing most of the 2013 season because of injuries, the school announced Tuesday.
Mark was limited to just three games in his senior season because of hamstring and other physical problems, including a broken ankle he suffered on Oct. 12 at Wisconsin. He finished with just 97 rushing yards on the year, one season after compiling 1,366 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns for the Wildcats in 2012. Mark was also an All-American punt returner as a junior.
Mark ranks fourth in Northwestern history with 4,271 career all-purpose yards, exactly 1,000 yards behind all-time leader Damien Anderson.

Hmmm. I always have issues understanding why people think it 'sucks'. This game will obviously mean more than did playing Umass this year, and because of that, to me it's a test. If the Huskies win, it means we're that much better of a team - if the huskies lose, then it means that NIU isnt as good as we want Them to be or thought they were.
I think the only time I ever want a weaker opponent would be when we make it to a big time Bowl, and losing badly means a lot more than winning.

Purist at heart.. I can appreciate that...
But I'll take a win over a Mackless NW than a loss with him any freakin day...
Did you see this guy run against Ohio State? He's a mini beast mode

Big question whether he will return to the same form, that's a pretty serious injury to come back from, I wish the best for him though.
