How is his nickname not "The Condor" or something similar? He looks like some sort of bird of prey or like he is riding an invisible ostrich or something when he is imploring them to get their hands up. He's a unique fellow for sure.

Yes, but you don't send out the third string to take a knee. It's called pride.

There are people here that just need to b!tch about something even after a blowout win. It's nothing new.

DUDE. Switch your settings to 50 posts per page. That would be maddening to do that much work to read a thread. This thread is only 1 1/2 pages right now.

Otherwise, what's the point?

The point is that we were out there showboating like a$$clowns.

I know what you are saying, but when you have put in your walkons, it's pretty obvious that you arent trying to run up the score.

When your bench comes in and passes off the backboard to himself for a dunk that's not a classy thing to do . On the other hand if the end of the bench is out there , hell let them play , they earned it in practice . jmo

Just signal the player with ball over to you and tell him to hold it and no more scoring.

I imagine Wilsons pass to himself dunk was the instigator in that .

I share the same imagination as you, DENO. Hot dogs get mustard, and THAT play was hot dogging.

What cracks me up is that none of the players even notice. "nothing unusual here."

I agree. If he were going to not allow them to shoot why put them in so late. With such a lead should have gotten them all in with 2 minutes left and allowed them to play instead of putting them in and then telling then to hold the ball.

Sad the main players would screw it up for the walk ons by wanting to showboat and rub it in with such a large lead.

Pastner was a walk on. Just saying. Maybe Lute did the same thing with the walk ons at Zona.

There are plenty of reasonable things about which to criticize Patner. Those who think he isn't a very good coach can make reasonable arguments. You can say that he repeats himself too much and is hoaky. However, the man seems as nice as they come and he has shown nothing but class since taking the job.

Almost a slap in the face of the players. Here go in, but just go in and stand around for last 20 seconds and do not do anything.

That makes it even worse, since he should know how it feels to not get in the games after working so hard in practice. He should be more sensitive to the guys who put in the work at practice to make the front line players what they are and should be more open to reward them when possible.

It's a matter of sportsmanship: you don't run the score up and shoot in the final seconds when the game is in hand. Doesn't matter who is in the game. They weren't fouling, we shouldn't be shooting. This is stuff you learn on your elementary school teams.

If game is that far out of hand then you put in the walk-ons sooner and let them run the offense. You do not put them in just to say they were in game and then not let them play. You are treating them like peewee ball players who only get in the game because the rules required it. These are still young men. They need to be respected for all they do in practice.
