UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Junior Kendall Anthony scored 21 points as Richmond defeated No. 12 ranked Massachusetts 58-55 Wednesday, sending a ranked team away from the Robins Center for the fifth time in the last six visits.

Richmond won its 10th game against a ranked team since 2008, and it was the fifth home win in the last six games against ranked teams in the Robins Center, also since 2008.The Spiders are allowing just 63.3 points per game in those 10 wins over ranked teams.

Wednesday's win was the highest ranked opponent the Spiders have defeated since a win over No. 8 ranked Purdue in 2010 and the highest ranked opponent Richmond has defeated at home since taking down No. 6 Georgia Tech in 1986.
