Nothing else works at this level.

Despite the snickering that is sure to ensue, if we were in that spot next year, the game would have to be moved/postponed. Just sayin'.

I think a neutral site could work - but it would have to be Montgomery of Birmingham. Anything else would be unworkable (especially a site in a state that is not in out footprint, like Tennessee).

There's always options. I just can't believe the Georgia Dome is the only possible stadium in Atlanta.

Why compete with the biggest conference championship?

You have to do what is best for the conference. Yea, it may not work for Georgia State, but for Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, Idaho, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, New Mexico State, Texas State and Troy. Only South Alabama could have issues too, but I'd bet Ladd-Peebles would be available.

Georgia Dome is not a neutral site.

Only if State makes the game. I think that is a chance that we all would be willing to take. The Ga Dome is a great venue and would be a great fit for the game.

don't like the superdome I don't think any team would want to play there twice in a matter of weeks. Conference Championship and New Orleans bowl not even the Cajuns would want that.

Crazy question would the game be played on Thursday or Friday cause I don't see the SEC moving their game.

If we have one it will not be neutral site. No point in a game with attendance of 19k

RE: Football Championship Game
Well when GS made excepted the invite to join the SBC, Benson told our A.D. that it would be at the home of the school with the best record (tie breakers and such would follow if needed, don't know how they would work could use BCS standings or head to head if applicable) between the winners of the East and West divisions.

Ex: Troy wins the east going 6-2 in conference
UL wins the west 7-1 conference record

SBC Champ game would be Troy vs UL at UL.

That's how it was explained to GS fans.

Now someone brought up a good point with teams that lease their stadium (GaSt) might not be able to host due to scheduling conflicts and then I would guess the other division winner would get to host the game.

Game shouldn't be played in a big dome. It'll look empty.

If there were a conflict it would get worked out just like all the other scheduling conflicts.

A true geographical neutral site could be Vaught-Hemingway. Ole Miss stadium.
