Home Stand
First and foremost, I hope Belmont fans show out it in packs for this weekends home stand.
Morehead rolls into the Curb as our most immediate threat to dethrone us as the East leaders as they are sitting in second with 4 wins and 1 loss. Make no mistake about it, this is a better Morehead team than the one last year... maybe because Sean Woods isn't shoving his players around like rag dolls.
Follow up Thursday with a Saturday matchup against EKU, the only team that has handed us a conference loss this year. Revenge sure would be nice. I didn't think EKU was that much better of a team than us as we shot ourselves in the foot way to often in that contest.
Even before the injuries to Murray (btw, they're still a heck of a squad) I looked at this mid-conference weekend home stand as a pivotal point for this team. Coming out with two wins is outstanding and would put the boys in a very strong position moving forward. I'm looking forward to being in attendance for both and seeing some great ball out of the Bruins!

I'm planning to be there. This week is crucial for tournament seeding, so I hope we bring our "A" game tonight.

Great win last night. Boys played great....especially Reece, Bradshaw, and Mann all with FANTASTIC effort. Last night was the JJ Mann you love to see. When he is on and hitting shots, it takes pressure off EVERYONE else. Bradshaw's first step last night was unguardable. He blew by everyone. He really is so sneaky fast. He is looking like he could be all OVC if he keeps it up. Reece had some great drives as well and brought his fantastic defense.
As well as we played, I was surprised how poorly Morehead played. They have some HUGE guys and really could have attacked us down low more with our lack of size, but I don't think they did it nearly well enough. The few times Posthumus did get the ball down low, we really had no chance but to foul him or hope he missed the easy shot. Posthumus isn't the prettiest offensive player, but boy is he big and strong, and I feel Morehead should have used him much more on that side of the ball.
GREAT win to start the week though. I love our chances even more against Eastern on Saturday.

What really amazes me about Craig is the way he finishes his shots. .

Nice first half against a very good EKU team. 50-30 at the half.
