The majority of people who go to the conference tournament are the host school/school closest by. The tournament needs to be held near/at schools that fill their seats until schools with lower attendances can build their fan bases. Nothing looks worse than a half-empty venue.

Palestra 1000 times. Cincy, UConn, Temple, Memphis and some ECU fans.would travel. Im sure the FL twins have a lot of alumni in the region as well.

Not enough home town basketball support in Orlando or Tampa to hold it there

The few that are suggesting Houston, Tampa, Orlando, etc...have never been to a CUSA Tourn in Memphis...(most teams in this future conf will be CUSA members) as if they did they would know that 95% or more of all ticket and season pass booklets are bought by those in the local community/local team fan base.
School like UH, USF, UCF, etc...have problems getting 4,000 fans to show up for their OWN teams games...but you expect those few fans will turn out to see Temple vs ECU? or Tulane vs Tulsa in a 19,000 seat arena?
Ah.....no.
AAC Tourn will always be held in cities where LOCAL fans turn out for their OWN team games (i.e. Memphis, Cinci, UCONN....and maybe Temple, especially if its played at the Palestra...as the NBA/NHL arena would be way too big).
