I see the SBC only allows top 8 in basketball to go to tourney. I assume the same is true for baseball.

Next year when 11 teams are competing will it be the same-- 8 for basketball and 8 for baseball?

I don't see why it would change. The SLC always had 12 teams for these sports and only 8 qualified for the various tourneys

One a side note: we don't have to worry about the BB tournament anyway.

I think this basketball tournament is a bit of an experiment, but I expect it to continue. Only question for baseball will be whether or not the coaches choose to keep double elimination, or try some other format. I think the DE format will stay for at least the first year.

It will be eight teams for both, I do know some of the other sports voiced their opinions as to why basketball got to take every team and the other tournaments just eight.
