Alex Ward is actually about 6'6". Had multiple D1 offers I believe and thought was a no brainer to go D1. Wondered why he picked Tiffin?

I just went through this with my Daughter with soccer and some kids want to study in a certain field that is very demanding and they hear about the horror stories of D1 athletics and school work. Some kids want to enjoy the college life and still play the sport they love without all the D1 headaches.

Hard to blame them no matter what they do. Doing what is right for them is the most important thing.

RE: local area football commits.
Didn't want to start a new thread and this seemed like a good place to put this...

Was down at UC last night and talked with Vince Suriano (Former Anderson HS Coach)... I missed it when UC named him the Director of HS and player relations http://www.gobearcats.com/sports/m-footb...3aaa.html.

I had no idea he was serving in that capacity. We talked how this year seems to be more focused on several local recruits and there was another thread where we discussed not having a "local" HS coach on the staff. I know Vince was well respected around town by other coaches.

In addition UC has Doug Rosfeld on staff as well (former Bearcat from Moeller) http://www.gobearcats.com/sports/m-footb...5aaa.html.

Hopefully local recruiting will pick up for Blue Chippers.
