Most of us "blazertalk oldtimers" have much disdain for L'ville. It's historic.

I, genuinely, like living here. Louisville has a metro government that is pretty progressive. It is the kind of government that Birmingham should have IMO. There are lot's of things to do. Hate the cold but most folks are pretty nice. I was surprised at the number of Auburn alumni here. That have a huge and active group who let me mingle with them to get my hometown fix.

I wish I could swap my red clay soil for that in the Ohio River valley where they can use 36" disks without turning up rocks instead of the 6" disks most must use in our area. The Corn Belt has some of the best farming soil in America.

That's not a JSU page. It's a fan blog, and it has no affiliation with JSU other than a fan writes it -- poorly. It doesn't mean it's not accurate, but it's also not official by an stretch of the imagination. Hell, the author has no idea what the difference is between "its" and "it's."

Could the holdup in official announcement be the $700k mentioned, if that is the true figure, problem being the BOT not seeing the fiscal numbers to make it up (aka Jimbogate)?

Brown on JOX made reference to some facility upgrades or removing the recruiting restrictions being worked into the contract that needs signed off on. Take that with a grain of salt.
Personally i think the holdup is yesterday was a holiday, contract is being officially approved today, announcement this afternoon before 5pm news, press conference in the morning. (no information, just a guess)

I wouldn't put anything past the bastards, but the irony that they're part of the escalation of coaches' salaries problem is most likely lost on them.

I heard Barker on JERX one day last week say that some guy in the Tuscaloosa AD's office was telling him that coaches' salaries were killing the sport.

No word on whether he said it with a straight face or not.

I agree. Contracts aren't usually fully complete and approved prior to a press conference. Working out and approving all the fine print takes a while

One thing for sure, good or bad, I have never seen a coaches search like this one before.
