Surprised that people were even worried we'd fall out. We lost to UConn, not UTEP.

Sounds about right. I'll be much happier when our KenPom defensive efficiency ranking is top 25, right now its 69th. Was top 20 at one point, we need to crank up that defensive intensity.

I agree, we're not playing our best ball right now. We need to crank the D back up.

Agree. Defensive intensity seems to come and go again.

Weird that Connecticut didn't get in. I thought they'd sneak in even despite the Louisville loss.

They're at 27 (2nd in Other Receiving Votes) so if they win out the next two weeks they may sneak in.

Not true. We were in the top 20 in defensive efficiency after the second OSU game. We need to get back to rebounding and forcing turnovers.

Forcing turnovers is great and all, leads to easy transition buckets and gets the team fired up. Constantly overplaying your man and the passing lanes leads to so many blow bys and fouls. This team really needs to find a happy medium between the two. Agree with rebounding though, too many second chance opportunities.

Ok, i will give you that; with the exception of a few games, we have had poor defense. Other than us being able to defend the 3pt shot relatively awesome, the lanes have been wide open.

Shouldn't we let everyone know the sky isn't falling any further this week?

I agree on the happy medium. The rebounding above all else is what troubles me. If we rebound like we did against Louisville, we beat UConn last week. We've got to get that fixed.

I didn't get involved in the previous discussions on this but I have always expected them to move up just by winning
