Hint UAB to West?
So on FBS Schedules it shows UAB & USM in the West. Is there something we don't know and have they already been decided. So FIU, La Tech, and Marshall have a spot open week in 2nd week.

Not surprising they would want to keep MTSU/WKU together

We'll still have to wait and see the official announcement, but I think it's inevitable that UAB goes west. I just thought it might be 2015 when Charlotte comes in.

Maybe then we can play each other twice a year in basketball.

I do hope we get to that point. Other than the negative factor of Marshall being 0 for whatever in conference play, I've been interested in meeting and playing all of our conference opponents at least once, but you just can't beat the development of rivalries that divisional play gets you.

Personally, I'd like to see two balanced 7 team basketball divisions, where you will play 12 in division games (6 x2) and then play each team in the other division once (7), for a total conference schedule of 19 games. I know we play 16 now (15 round robin and one partner that you play twice) and there is some reluctance to go to 19 conference games, but they have to be better games than some of the teams scheduled that no one has heard of (Alice Lloyd comes to mind!)

I agree with you 100% on the idea of scheduling.

I agree too, especially since none of us can put together ooc schedules worth a damn. That'll guarantee everybody another him game or two and it would be the easiest solution to balancing a schedule.

I agree with the 19 conference games schedule. I would also like to see the CUSA tournament format be as follows. All 14 teams get to play. The bottom 4 teams play on. Tues night with the team with the best record hoisting. The top 4 teams get a by until Saturday. 8 teams play on Friday . The 4 teams jump in on Saturday. Then Sunday cut it down to two for the championship on Monday night.

The only problem with that is the champion must be determined before the selection show Sunday night.

You're not going to see a tournament with teams playing home games other than the host. Too much of an advantage for the home teams.

Dont be surprised if we play an early conference game in that second week against La tech or FIU.

Sucks as that means every team from CUSA will be separated from MU. I know that we are still in the same conference but I enjoyed our East Div games. Yes I look forward to new rivalries but Southern Miss and UAB would be games I would look forward too more so than any new team becuase of our history.
