Found Dog
My wife found this guy near Fisherville tonight, very sweet, came right to her and jumped in the car. Somebody is missing him. [Image: 1554490_708913979142208_298282073_n.jpg]

RE: Found Dog
We drove around in case somebody was searching and saw a second dog running loose! This guy had a collar and went into the woods. Yikes!

You might get more responses if you didn't have 218 people on your ignore list. Just sayin'.

It's only 7 people, the rest are aliases. Cross your fingers, somebody thinks it's their dog.

The power of Facebook is amazing. I generally don't like the place, but for stuff like this it's incredible. Lost and Found Pets of the Mid South has become the go-to page for missing pets. The lady who lost the dog's daughter went there right away, there was the photo and my phone number and that was that. Awesome!

Wonderful news. Teresa has really started something special with the Lost and Found Pets of the Mid South page.

Yep. Dog picked up at 7 pm in the middle of Fisherville, which is quite rural, returned home at 10. Very happy to see mom and dad, let me tell you!

They can't help being who they are. I'm just thrilled for the people; it was grandparents baby-sitting their grandson's dog while he is away, I think in the military overseas, so they were worried sick that they had lost his dog.

What's weird is that while driving around looking for anyone who might be out looking for the dog we found, we saw a second dog running loose, with a collar and tag. But my wife said that he didn't look lost, and shortly he took off through the woods to a house, so I guess she was right.

Not how I planned to spend Saturday night.

Good work, TigerBill.

Lost & Found is a great page. I put two and two together and reunited a dog with its owner a few months ago using it and my neighborhoods stupid Nextdoor.com page (which wasn't stupid in this case).

The Nextdoor stuff can get really absurd. You may be on the same one as me. You'll get about 20 useless emails and be just about ready to turn the damn thing off. Then, you'll get one email that makes you rethink it.

Back on topic... Very nice job, Bill.

I'm Normandy Meadows East. It was pretty painful at first, but has gotten better. Not nearly as much insufferable bullcrap and passive aggressive racism (or rather blatant, thinly veiled racism, in some cases) as when it first started. Also in a cycle with no break-ins (knock on wood), so that helps, as well.

So, a neighbor put something on there about a miniature Dachshund getting out and being lost. Having one myself, I took special notice. A couple days later, Lost & Found out something out about a miniature Dachshund that had been hit by a car on Mendenhall south of Summer recovering at the Summer Emergency clinic. Pretty easy to put 2 & 2 together. Seriously wanted to kick the owners ass for not having it chipped or tagged, but it is what it is.
