It is what it is.

If I was like those that do the "grammar correction thing", I would inform you that joe should be Joe. That sort of thing makes no difference to me. To me, it's really a situation of A) trying to be funny, or B) being a jerk. Most of the time I would say it's B. If people want to take me seriously that's fine, if they do not...that's fine also.

Don't you luv it when someone wants to pick at a persons grammar. A comma here, or a spelling error there makes the Einsteins feel important. They usually have no original thought to post so they feel like they need to be the spelling police. I know my grammar isn't 100% correct as is many others, but that doesn't take away from the point of your post.

I saw that. They are in love. (I fixed it for you)

Hopefully they have better grammar. Or fewer beers.
Yeah, I know what you mean. That grammar is Paramount in order for a relationship to work. 01-wingedeagle As for the beers, I don't drink. I'm so sorry I did not type "They're" or "they are". I will go fix it for you. The message board needs the Grammar Police, good job dude.

No, grammar is paramount for communication, and frequently, for a high-paying job, both of which add to a good marriage.

What in the heck has happened to basic education in this country? Even first-graders used to be taught spelling and grammar, and they aren't Einstein's. A comma misplaced or totally lacking can change the meaning of a sentence. A misspelled word can also change the meaning of a sentence.
A paragraph full of misspelled words and wrong or lacking grammar indicates 1) lack of real education, 2) lack of effort and caring on the part of the writer, and/or 3) fuzzy thinking. One can always go back and learn how to write and speak correctly, even if one was not taught that in school. All it takes is desire and effort.
Communication is even more important than it used to in this fast-paced, precise world. Grammar and spelling are the building blocks of communication. If one can't or won't use correct and precise English, I wouldn't trust their math or other job skills, which also require precision and care. JMTC

Going to see Hercules with the wife. Got the in laws to watch our babies so my seats 9&10 at sec 107 will be vacant.

Couldnt convince the wife to go see a div 2 team...

Have the Tigers fallen to Div. 2?

I can guarantee you of a way to give away tickets to someone that would love them ~ Give them to someone you know who is going to the game (even if you have to hand them off to said person in advance), and tell that person to give them to the fans standing in the ticket office line before the game, or the fans just standing there looking for a ticket. How easy it that???? There are ALWAYS true blue Tiger fans looking for an extra ticket.

I have a very successful marriage and a high paying job and yes, I make an error in grammar from time to time. Doesn't make you better than me, just makes you kind of anal about grammar.

03-lmfao I was thinking the same thing, especially the part about a successful marriage. Been married for almost 14 yrs. now and my wife and I carry on like when we first met in 1999 but more so now. It has ZERO to do with grammar, now communication is big time. It has to be hard being some of these people.
