I'm sure X fans were okay with it. That was a drubbing. How many more wins do they need to make the tourney?
Man that is really an interesting question right?
here is what they have left with (RPI) and forecast spread:
St. John's (57.8) AWAY -4.8
3-1 Creighton (7.0) HOME -5.5
3-3 Seton Hall (128.1) AWAY 0.8
3-6 Villanova (4.6) HOME -4.7
I think even if they split with Creighton/Vill at home, they have to beat both St. Johns and Seton Hall on the road or they should be out no matter what.
Xavier's lack of road wins is appalling - how can you possibly lose every damn decent game on the road??

Shouldn't this thread be moved to the Big East board

If you add the US Bank game to their home game list the committee will realize this is a team that didn't win a game against a decent team outside of Cincinnati. Roads against Alabama, Butler, and DePaul none of them have an in the top 100 or winning record.
The Muskies have zero wins over a team with a winning record in games played outside of Cincinnati. Take away the blue blob, entrance video, and spoiled fans and you get an a pretty bad tournament resume.
SMU has wins over Wyoming, UConn, and Texas A&M away from Dallas. Nebraska won at Michigan State. BYU has wins over Texas, Stanford, and Saint Mary's College away from Provo.
When the committee starts to look at the 7 seeds through 12 seeds, I am not sure how Xavier's resume at this point gets them in .

Xavier is as close as you can be to the cut line IMO. The bigger issue for them is they don't have many wins left on that schedule. They might not NEED good wins to jump up, but it's the only option they've got besides tacking more losses on to the overall record, which they certainly can't afford.
I think they need 3 more wins counting BET to feel safe. 2 more wins counting BET, and they better start rooting hard for some other teams to help them. Looking at that schedule, even the 2 may be hard.
