If you take a step back from the ledge and look at the last 2 home losses, you can gain a bit of perspective. I agree we looked terrible against Cincy and couldn't seem to make a shot to save our lives. However, we rebounded nicely and got a tough win at Louisville along with a win against Temple that could've easily been a let down after an emotional win. The UConn game, we didn't play poorly, we were in the game the whole way and the final score doesn't indicate how close this game really was. A couple bounces of the ball a different way and we would have been the ones to win by 10. Realistically, barring a complete trainwreck, we pretty much have already made our case to be in the NCAA Tourney with a couple signature wins over OSU and Louisville and these additional games are just helping us prepare for what lies ahead. This team will be battle tested come March and it will help us tremendously. Look in the past how many teams have been a middle of the road Big East team and gets hot at the right time to go on a winning streak in the NCAAs. It has happened before and could very well happen again. One final thought, this isn't CUSA... our days of 30 win seasons and undefeated conference play are over, but that is a good thing. We will be much more battle tested and a much tougher team come tourney time.

Agreed. It sucks losing at home, but these are not the Rice's of the world. We lost to UConn, and thankfully we get another shot at them.
We knew we would drop some games this year....we just didn't figure they would be the ones at home.

Yep. Well said. Losses hurt but it's part of getting exposed in the regular season and growing up. This team will be much much better in March than any of those Memphis teams we've seen recently that have had to wait until the Round of 64 to get exposed.

It's not the end of the world as far as making the tournament as a 5/6 seed goes; but it's almost the end of the world as far as getting a 2 seed goes.

4 Losses = 2 seed
5 Losses = 3 seed
6 Losses = 3/4 seed
7 Losses = 5/6 seed
8 Losses = 6 seed
9 Losses = 7/8 seed
10 Losses = bubble

Loseable games (technically all of them)
@ SMU
Gonzaga
@ UConn
@ Houston
Louisville
@ Cincy
SMU
AAC tournament

AAC Tournament
0-1 = 16 games left
1-1 = 17 games left
2-1 = 18 games left
3-0 = 18 games left
