Don't understand the irrational logics being thrown around in the game thread.

Sweet 16? In what tournament, if they were for example to lose the next two Conference home games it could get bad...like NIT talk bad, there are no guarantees. I think they'll bounce back but ehh I don't know. The bench isn't utilized enough in my opinion.

They were better than we are and they were without Dieng.

We are a poor shooting team that plays marginal defense. Tough to advance in the tournament with that kind of play.

Louisville was the overall #1 seed playing in the best conference in the land...don't compare our situation to theirs from last year.

Only if we get a really lucky draw. Our seed will be from 7-10, meaning of course we will have to play a 1/2 in the second round.

If we don't make sweet 16 will CJP give back his overhyped salary?

I only get raises at my job when Ive produced and grown...He hasn't done a thing! Keep drinking the KoolAid....

Defense is weak...offensive strategy this year is NUTS and will give us a quick out in tournament...

It's hard to do but everyone needs to hold judgment until after the season...if we don't advance then I'll wonder if we're heading in the right direction.

At the end of the season, yes. But I doubt if that was predicted after their third consecutive loss.

Of course I dont think we equal Louisville of last year. But I don't think our loss tonight is the end all either.

I agree...some here are spouting off NIT which is funny but I'm not feeling confident either after 2 straight home loses....what my question is what happens if we lose on the first weekend of the tourney besides go home.

Louisville also had a legit PG, a game changing big man and a coach with somewhat of a clue what he's doing. Memphis 2014 has exactly none of that.

Our record this season says you don't have a clue what you are talking about....

Oh wait, we've just gotten lucky a bunch of times.

We have a sweet 16 team IF Pastner will swallow his pride and play a true wing player instead of the 3 guard line up. We have the players to do it but not if JP doesn't figure it out.

Were the Louisville fans saying all of that after their 3 losses?

Again, we're not 2013 Louisville and I'm not claiming we are, and some of the signs are disturbing.

I am saying that it's a long season with much of it still to go, and things could still turn out well enough.

Maybe it's true about how we were spoiled by rolling through Cusa.

Oh, gee which one of our key contributors is out due to injury right now?
