Not only do the names keep coming, they also keep getting better and better in quality of experience. I hope we make the right choice - we need to win a lot of games in the coming years.

2006 ACC coach of the year. Kind of fizzled out after that. Wake is a comparitively tiny school, so he would definitely know something about winning with limited resources. Interesting candidate.

Sounds like he was burned out when he left Wake. He's 61. Does he have the energy to start over.

Good coach but I think age (and energy level) will really not do us any favors on the recruiting trail. I doubt he realizes the task this job would be.

Wake did not have limited resources. They had BCS money.

They weren't as big a school as some of others in the conference though.

Not overly excited about this except for the fact that some bigger names are in the mix this time.

Interview old guy - check.

Grobe is one of the best coaches Wake has ever had. Age may be an issue, like some of you have said. They had a very good option/rushing attack a few years ago, when they were winning.

He is a good coach.

He would fit in here.

It took him long enough, but Mackin is finally listening to me.
Some of these guys would make good assistants if they don't get the job. Anyone think he is interviewing to help form a staff as well.

Grobe sounds like a good man. We could certainly do a lot worse.

Baptist, wasn't it? Compared to the challenges UAB faces Wake Forest has it easy. It has to be hard to recruit against some of the bigger ACC schools though.

Upon further review, Wake was started as a Baptist college, but is now non-sectarian. John Wesley retracts his previous quote.
