Wonder if Coach Foley
will be able to sign a really good perimeter shooter for next year? He has an inside player who transferred from SMU who he says will help us next year.
Hopefully Cobbins will be back to play the point, but she's not a long range shooter. Of our current crop, Collins looks like the best bet, although she hasn't found the range yet, but she has a nice release and could develop as a shooter we need. He had two really good scorers with Chastity Reed and Kim Sitzman. Chas wasn't really a three point shooter, but she could score big time from 15 feet in, and Kim, when she got hot, could hit the three's very well. But they were upper classmen. I might be expecting too much too soon from some of these younger players. I'm sure Coach Foley is aware of his needs and will do everything he can to fill those needs.04-cheers

The past couple of seasons we have not had the multiple scoring threats. In the past Foley's team always had at least one very good scorer and a couple more that were decent scorers. When you have only one real threat it is easy to stop a motion offense since you can play a zone and clog the lanes. Foley is a great coach but lately it seems like he is slipping on recruiting shooters. It seem like we recruited better shooters when wiedower was an assistant.
