MAC Recruiting Overall
One team stands out and that would be WMU, the rest of the league is really into NR no ranking players:

Actually to me the one that stands out is NIU numerous Texas and Florida boys. Nobody in the MAC comes close to that.

I have posted under the football recruiting thread the top 60 from the Detroit News.

WMU killed all of the MAC schools in-state but that is an old story - WMU wrapped up the state during summer.

The other big story, and it is a corollary, is that WMU took CMU's in-state recruiting base away from them, at least for the 2014 class.

The untold story about WMU is how many of its verbals are now visiting bigger schools so we'll see how the dust settles on signing day. By the way WMU has more verbals than the maximum class allows.

Overall though the MAC's class is bringing in non ranked players its appears to be an overall down year. Would be interesting to how many of these non ranked players had more than one Div I offer for each school.

I have a subscription to Rivals and BroncoBlitz, the WMU, site and they expect a few will jump but they'll keep the overwhelming majority.

And, of course, one reason to have > 25 is that some verbals will not sign so it is basically insurance.

I think I counted 13 three star recruits currently listed.

I still maintain that WMU might be the biggest MAC recruiting story in years, even if that 13 three stars falls to say 10.

The good sign for WMU is that 20 of these kids will be on campus this weekend. These kids apparently have stayed in touch with one another..
We may lose a few, but it looks like were in good shape for this class.

Congrats on your tail whipping Tuesday..

Good addition to this thread.

I did read that on BroncoBlitz, I think, and saw the comment about the visits.

I'm surprised that they are visiting this weekend instead of early December but it sounds like a SMART idea to have all of the verbals there the same weekend.

Usually the 1st recruiting weekend is used for verbals but maybe January is better to keep them from getting itchy feet and visiting other schools.
