Western Kentucky leads UALR in the early in the second half 45-19. We obviously have a way to go. Hope the men can be a little more competitive tomorrow night.

A complete travesty. It's difficulty to see how our ladies can look like world beaters one night, and can't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle the next. Foley must be pulling his hair our.

Hell it didn't take a brain surgeon to figure this out. Either Jethro Bodine or I(in fact I did)could have told you this. Well maybe not Jethro. He probably hasn't seen us play. But, all anyone had to do was watch our team play a few games. How many games is this where we didn't even get out of the teens in scoring in the first half? And, it seems like when one of them can't throw one in the ocean, they all can't throw one in the ocean. This team also commits a lot of turnovers.

Biggest problem is we don't have an inside player who is a real presence.
If you depend on perimeter shots all the time, you're going to have bad nights. Need big people who can dominate on the boards and get second chance points with put backs. Don't have that.

Very true, but have you ever seen a team where when one of them can't buy a bucket, none of them can? And how often it happens. I'm guessing that this team will finish about the middle of the pack in the league. They'll make the tournament, but could very easily be one and out. Am I talking about Foley here? It's possible that could happen with this team.

All of this is possible. Foley can't get out there and play for them. If they have it in them, he'll get it out of them by tournament time.

I'm not blaming Foley for missing shots or layups, just as I never blamed Shields for poor shooting. I'm saying that both are responsible for bringing in the players that are missing the shots and layups. Foley's earned his stripes. He'll be back, but it ain't gonna be this year. So, I'll give the old UALR men's team war cry, "wait until next year."

I'm not giving up on the ladies yet. On their good night, they're hard to beat, but I can't understand how they can go from great to horrible from game to game. There's something missing. One thing is at least one reliable three point shooter. He doesn't have that this year. Jeanette Meriux could get hot and hit three or four three's in a row. There is nobody who has shown that ability to shoot the three consistently. And when Western hits eight three's, you're dead. If he has had one problem in his recruiting, it was finding really good shooters. I know he relies on defense, but you also have to have people who can put the ball in the hole.

I still believe there is some sort of a chemistry problem with this team.

There could be, but that doesn't explain how they can be Tarzan one night and Jane the next. Chemistry can't explain how Taylor Gault can play like an All American one night, and not hit the side of a barn the next. Problem is that none of the young players are scoring at all. If the Taylors and Kierra aren't doing anything, it makes it hard for you to win games. All those Freshmen seem to be athletic but none has shown the ability to score, and you have to have points to win games.

This is definitely not a typical foley road team. They play much better at home. Gault has Ben terrible on the road other than the uta game but a star at home.
